If you edit your own HTML files, you can place your agent on any page. You need NetShow's one tag and a small proof that the site is yours. These steps fit a site on your own server, shared hosting, or a static host that serves ordinary files. Publish your agent first; Publish it shows that step.
Hosting menu names in this guide are as of September 2026 and may move. If your host's controls look different, search its help for “upload files,” “site root,” “hidden folders,” or “Content-Security-Policy.”
Put the tag in your pages
Open your agent's website embed page from its Deploy page. Under Paste this tag into your website, press Copy code. Keep the copied tag unchanged: its values identify your agent and its door. Put it just before </body> in each HTML page file where the agent should appear. If they share one footer file, put the tag there once.
Here is a small page after insertion. your-agent is only an example; paste your own tag with all its attributes.
<!doctype html>
<html lang="en">
<head><title>Our site</title></head>
<body>
<h1>Welcome</h1>
<script src='https://app.netshow.ai/js/ns-chat-widget.js' charset='utf-8' data-agent='your-agent' data-agent-slug='your-agent' data-api='https://app.netshow.ai/api/door/your-agent/chat' data-name='Your agent' data-welcome='Hello' data-theme='netshow' data-tracker='' data-domain-config='' data-livechat='' data-door-lane='1'></script>
</body>
</html>
Upload the changed files and load one of those pages. Before verification, your agent's live face may appear but tells visitors the door is closed instead of answering.
Publish the check file
Under Add your website and verify it, enter your full HTTPS site address in Website address, then press Request this site. Use the address the browser finally shows, such as the www address if the bare domain moves there; if both answer, add each one.
Open Verify ownership and activate chat beside the requested address. It shows the exact text your site must serve. Beside your home page file, make a folder named .well-known holding a plain text file named netshow-origin.txt. Put only the exact text shown in that file, then upload it. In a browser, open https://your-address/.well-known/netshow-origin.txt; you should see that same text directly. The check does not follow redirects, so the requested address and the file's address must match exactly.
If the browser shows 403 or 404, your host may hide folders whose names start with a dot; ask it how to serve /.well-known/. Once it opens, press Verify and activate. If your host cannot serve that file, add the check tag shown in the same panel inside the <head> of your home page instead, upload it, and press Verify and activate. The Hosted Share Link on the Deploy page always works as a link to your agent's own page.
If your site sends a security policy
Add each NetShow source below to the same directive of your site's Content-Security-Policy:
script-src https://app.netshow.ai;
connect-src https://app.netshow.ai;
img-src https://app.netshow.ai;
frame-src https://app.netshow.ai;
media-src blob:;
A tag that names the alternate host https://claude.netshow.ai needs it in the same places. A tag with a realtime voice mint URL also needs https://api.openai.com in connect-src.
script-src loads the tag and its stage layer, connect-src lets the agent answer, img-src shows its face, frame-src opens its speaking panel and media-src blob: plays its voice. Keep your own entries as they are.
What visitors meet, and how to remove it
The page shows your agent's live face in its corner. A visitor opens it and taps Talk; the microphone asks for access only after that tap. Without a microphone or speaker, a visitor can type instead from the agent's menu.
To take the agent off a page, remove the tag and upload the change. On the embed page, the Withdraw control beside the address closes the door there, even if an old page still holds the tag.
What your visitors hear
On an active, verified address, your agent reads each typed reply aloud in the NetShow voice. A tag you pasted earlier needs no change. On the embed page, each active address shows NetShow voice beside it. If the voice is not available, the reply stays on screen and Talk pulses. The microphone opens only after the visitor taps Talk.
Put your agent on the page
Your agent can also live on your page itself. On the Deploy page, under Your agent on your own pages, each verified address has a switch that reads “Put Ava on the page here”, with your agent's name in place of Ava. Switch it on, copy the Script code again, and replace the old tag in your pages.
Your agent then rests in a corner, docks in a side pane when a visitor taps it (a bottom sheet on phones), steps out onto the page with “Set me free” and returns with “Bring me back”. It talks after a tap; Type lives in its small menu. On sign-in and payment pages it stays in its pane. To turn it off, switch it off and copy the tag again. The iFrame embed stays conversation only.
How your agent greets your visitors
Once the tag answers, your agent greets each visitor first: its live face is there at once, its hello shows as a caption, and it speaks at the visitor's first tap, click or key, because browsers keep sound off until then. It never plays a recorded clip or the browser's voice, it says it is an AI, and a visitor can interrupt it anytime.
