Add your agent to ChatGPT or Claude

3 min read

Leer en español

You can use your NetShow agent from inside ChatGPT or Claude. You paste one address into the app, sign in to NetShow, pick the agent and allow it. There is no token to copy, and you can take the access back with one button. Your agent always says it is an AI, in their app as on your own page.

This door is not switched on yet for every site. Its switch is mcp_oauth_connect; while it is off, your agent's page has no sign-in card, and the address answers as it always has.

Step 1: copy the address

Open your agents list and press the small wand button titled Unified Editor on the agent you want. Near the end of the editor sits a card called "Add" followed by your agent's name and "to ChatGPT or Claude". It says:

Paste this one address into the app, then sign in to NetShow and pick this agent. No token to copy.

Press Copy next to the address. The card says "Address copied."

Step 2: paste it into ChatGPT or Claude

The card carries one line for each app. Follow the one you use:

  1. ChatGPT: Settings, Apps and Connectors, Create (developer mode), paste the address, choose OAuth, then sign in.
  2. Claude: Settings, Connectors, Add custom connector, paste the address, then Connect and sign in.

ChatGPT and Claude are not NetShow products: you use them with your own account there.

Step 3: sign in and choose the agent

The app sends you to NetShow. Sign in with your normal NetShow login. A short page opens with one sentence at the top, for example "Claude at claude.ai wants to use" and the name of an agent "through MCP".

  1. Under Agent, pick the agent this app may use. The sentence changes with your pick.
  2. Read the list under "If you allow it", which names, in plain words, what the app can do with that agent.
  3. Read the line under it: "Only the agent you pick. Access lasts until you disconnect it on your agent's page."
  4. Press Allow, or Deny to stop here.

The page says "Connected. Taking you back to" the app, with a Continue to button if your browser does not go on by itself. A connection reaches one agent and never your other agents.

Step 4: use it

Back in ChatGPT or Claude, ask for your agent by name, for example "Ask my NetShow agent what we offer this week." The app calls your agent and shows the answer in its own window.

Step 5: see and end the connection

Go back to the same card on your agent's page. Under Connected apps each app shows its name, its address, the agent it uses, when it connected and when it was last used. Press Disconnect and confirm: the app loses access on its next request. You can hold up to 20 connected apps; disconnect one before you add another.

Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code

Coding tools on your own computer use a different card on the same page, Use this agent inside Claude. Its switch is mcp_owner_connect_card, and it is not switched on yet for every site. Press Create connection and copy the setup for your tool. The card is plain about it: "This token is not limited to this agent. It works for 30 days." Keep the file that holds it private, and press Revoke when you are done.
