The Command Center is one page where you put one of your agents in charge of the rest. That agent is your administrator: it holds the chair, keeps the departments, and takes the goals you hand over. You talk to it, and it talks to the rest of your team.
This guide walks that one page. For the short tour of every Harness page, read One face, many brains: the Harness for owners.
Open the Command Center
Sign in, open Agents in the menu at the top of any dashboard page, and choose Command Center. Its line reads Hand a goal to your administrator. You can also go straight to the Command Center.
If you have no organization yet, the Command Center sends you to the appoint page first, because until someone holds the chair there is nothing to command.
Appoint your administrator
The appoint page, Put someone in charge, asks four things, one card each.
- 1 · Who is this to you. Pick My personal chief of staff for your life, or My business operations lead for your company. Your pick sets the title your administrator wears: Chief of Staff or Head of Operations.
- 2 · Which agent. Every agent you own is shown by its face (or its initials) and its name. Tap the one you want in the chair.
- 3 · Departments. Tick the departments you want from the list, such as Marketing, Sales or Support. If you need one that is not listed, type it under Anything else? (comma separated). You can add more later.
- 4 · What do we call it. Name your organization. The box starts with a suggested name you can keep or change.
Press Make this my administrator. If you are not ready, Not yet takes you back to your dashboard and changes nothing. If you have no agent yet, the page says You do not have an agent yet and offers a button to make your first one.
Authorize it with one tap
You land back on the Command Center with the note Your administrator is seated. Authorize it when you are ready for it to act.
The Your administrator card shows its face, its name, its title and the tag not authorized yet. The card says in one plain sentence what authorizing will let it do: how many credits it may spend on one goal and in one day, and how many levels down it may pass work. Until you say yes it holds the chair but cannot command anyone.
Press Authorize my administrator. The note changes to Your administrator can act now. You can revoke it any time. and the tag reads authorized to act. The card now tells you how many seats it commands, across how many departments, and keeps its limits in the same plain sentence. Revoking and pausing are one click away on the Detail view, the button at the top of the page. To change those limits, read Set what a seat may do.
Add a department and a seat
Scroll to Departments. Each department is a card that lists who sits in it, or says Nobody here yet.
- To add a department, type its name in the dashed Add a department card and press Add. The buttons under the box fill in a common name for you.
- To seat an agent, pick it in the list on a department card and press Seat. The note reads Seat filled — that agent is on the chart now. and the agent appears on the card with its face. The list only offers agents without a seat, never your administrator. When every agent is seated, the card offers a link to make a new agent instead.
Agents seated with no department appear under Reporting straight to you.
Meet your administrator by its face
Your administrator's face sits at the top of the Your administrator card, with a Talk to button and its name under it. That button opens its test drive, a safe place to try it before anyone else meets it, where you can also switch to voice. Visitors meet your agents voice-first and hands-free: they speak first in NetShow's own voice, the visitor's microphone opens only after the visitor taps, and typed chat sits in the small menu for people with no microphone or speaker. To choose its voice, read Give it a voice that speaks first.
Handing over a goal
The Hand over a goal card opens only when two things are true: you have authorized your administrator, and someone is seated under it. Before you authorize, the card says Authorize your administrator first. If nobody works under your administrator yet, the card tells you so and points you to Seat a teammate in a department first. Once both are done, the box opens and the button reads Give it to and your administrator's name.
What you still decide
You choose who holds the chair, whether it may act, which departments exist and who sits in them. Anything waiting for your yes is counted in the Waiting on you tile. To see the whole team as a chart, read Build your organization. For every Harness page, read the Harness guide.
