Every ability starts off. Give your AI only what it needs for the task in front of you. Turning on a choice does not bypass permission, account access or a spending limit.
Find Abilities
- Open The Alive Presence, or a page using the same Alive Kit host.
- Hover over the character on a computer, or tap it on a phone, to reveal its small menu.
- Open the hamburger menu, choose More, then Settings.
- Find Abilities. Each row explains the ability and whether it needs your permission, owner access, your own key or a daily spending limit.
The agent is an AI. These choices live inside its existing menu. If a page uses an older host without this Settings panel, use the Alive Presence page above to see the current panel.
Camera and screen sharing
Camera lets the AI ask to see when seeing would help. Screen sharing lets it ask to see the screen or window you choose for the current session.
Enable only the choice you need. These switches request consent; they do not silently start capture. The page must support that ability and your browser must approve access separately. You can refuse and continue without sharing. If no permission prompt or sharing indicator appears, do not assume the AI can see you or your screen.
For camera use, follow Let your live agent see what you show it. For screen sharing, choose only the window you mean to show and use your browser's sharing indicator to stop when you are finished. You can turn the ability choice off again in Settings.
Computer and browsing choices
- Computer use allows limited computer tasks. Changing things, signing in, spending and sending still require approval. The row says Owner only · needs a daily limit.
- Agent browser lets the agent open approved public pages while the owner watches. It also needs owner access and a daily limit.
- Take the wheel lets a visitor take over the hosted browser before a sensitive step.
- Sandbox computer uses a computer the owner has connected through an outside agent system. Selecting it does not create a new computer.
- Web browsing searches and reads public pages with sources. Provider charges need an owner key or an approved spending limit.
These owner rows can be greyed out. The page needs a connection that can read and save permissions for this particular agent; the public Alive Kit does not supply that owner connection by itself. Signing in or ticking a local choice does not make a paid service ready. Ask NetShow to confirm the agent's connection, feature availability and limit.
Tools and your own accounts
Tools and plugins uses only the tools the owner has attached to this agent. Turning it on does not install every tool or grant access to unrelated accounts.
You may also see Agents API, Agent SDK features and Bring your harness. These connect existing agent work or an outside agent system to the same host. Some require your own provider account and key. The ability rows do not collect keys or send them to NetShow; finish account setup in the relevant connection flow. Paid work still needs its existing approval and limit. A daily limit of 0 keeps a paid feature closed.
Next: enable one supported ability for one small task. Watch the permission request or owner status before proceeding, then turn it off when you no longer need it.
