Connect a harness in one click

Some harness catalog pages have a ready connection template. It carries the public details NetShow already knows about that AI harness into the owner's connection form. It never carries a key.

Before you start

You need a NetShow agent and access to the harness you are connecting. You also need that harness's own HTTPS address and, when it requires one, your own key or token. NetShow does not create the outside account for you.

This path appears only when the owner Harness router, endpoint connection and catalog template switches are all on. If the button or form is missing, the one-click connection is not available on your account yet. Do not guess an address or paste a key into another form.

Open the template

Go to /harnesses, open the harness you use and choose Bring it into NetShow. A supported template sends you to /dashboard/harness/router?connect={catalog-name}#ns-hr-connect after sign-in.

The Connect a harness you already use form tells you what came from the documented interface. It can fill the connector type, public address, expected model, name and expertise. Its key or token is always empty for you to fill yourself.

If the catalog does not document an MCP server, an OpenAI-compatible endpoint or an A2A agent card, the page gives a manual reason instead of guessing. A command-line-only harness may be better served by the separate local connector guides.

Review and connect

  1. Choose the NetShow agent that should use the harness.
  2. Check the filled Your harness and Its https address fields against the harness's own documentation.
  3. Paste your own key or token into the password field. It is not shown again.
  4. Open More options only if you need to change the model, MCP tool, name or expertise.
  5. Press Connect and check it.

NetShow runs one health check for the chosen connector. A connection that answers joins that agent's roster. The list shows its name, host, state and expertise, never the key. The key and address are kept encrypted for that agent; disconnecting drops their stored ciphertext.

Connecting does not automatically spend through NetShow or give the harness new permissions. Owner turns remain subject to the existing switches, daily limits and the checks used by their dispatcher. Visitors do not use this endpoint connection.

Next step

Check that the connection says it answered, then open Who answers which kind of turn and leave matching work on By expertise. Use Check again if the harness later stops answering, or Disconnect to remove it from the roster.
